One major impact that AI is expected to have is on work, on the types of work that can be carried out with AI more effectively and more cheaply than with humans. How will humans respond? Will, in line with previous revolutions, this lead to the creation of new jobs for humans such that the level of employment is maintained, or will this lead to a world with (significantly) less work for humans? Is this what we want? How will we spend our time? Will this lead to greater or less human flourishing? What should we do about it?
The One World Trust is currently exploring the scope of this field of research.
